FROM INSIDE OUT, OUTSIDE IN
"From Inside Out, Outside In" is a multidisciplinary installation that deconstructs the psychological triad of the Creator, the Creation, and the Wearer. At its core, the exhibition explores the profound contradiction between external presentation and the internal emotional landscape. It questions how identity is both crafted and concealed, highlighting the dichotomy between the protective, often rigid persona we show to the world and the vulnerable, complex reality of who we are inside.
This tension is especially reflective of the local Serbian psyche, where a culturally ingrained strong, resilient exterior frequently masks a deeply welcoming, soft, and sensitive inner life. The installation visualizes this dissonance. However, as a vital counterbalance to this contradiction, the exhibition also explores the concept of absolute transparency—representing the rare individuals whose inner truths and outward expressions are perfectly aligned, existing as an "open book" to the world.
Sveta Kletina
Sveta Kletina is an artist, designer, and educator who relocated her studio practice to Belgrade, bringing a unique material perspective to the Serbian contemporary art scene. Drawing on over 20 years of experience in architecture and bespoke footwear design, she translates her traditional technical skills into contemporary mixed-media sculpture. By merging traditional leatherwork with various structural elements such as wood, cork, and cardboard, Sveta explores the complex integrity and emotional weight of human relationships. In her practice, footwear ceases to be a literal, functional object; instead, she utilizes it as a cultural phenomenon and conceptual metaphor. Each individual sculpture represents a different psychological dynamic, using the idea of the "pair" to visually deconstruct how people connect, coexist, and support one another. As an internationally recognized author, she is a multiple-time winner of the Global Footwear Awards and International Design Awards (IDA).
Evgeni Gertsenstein
Evgeni Gertsenstein is a multidisciplinary artist and self-taught painter whose practice is heavily influenced by his experience as an award-winning filmmaker. A graduate of Sapir College, he achieved significant success in the film industry, winning major awards at the South Film Festival and the Haifa International Film Festival. Still profoundly inspired by cinematic forms, he transitions these narrative mechanics onto the canvas to focus entirely on capturing the emotion of the viewer. By reflecting these feelings from the painting, he creates a psychological mirror that allows the observer to peek into themselves. His work focuses on the materialization of the invisible inner life and the psychological pressures of contemporary society, utilizing his art to give tangible weight to emotional baggage and the complexities of the human condition.

Special Project: REBIRTH
THE GHOST CANVAS & THE LIVING WEARABLE SCULPTURE.
Directly across from this living sculpture hangs the “ghost” of its origin: the original canvas, beautifully scarred with the precise, negative-space voids from where the shoes were extracted. We call this overarching methodology “Rebirth.”
As an artist couple who have spent the last 18 years sharing our lives, intertwining our creative worlds, and building a deep emotional history together, we are introducing a continuous multidisciplinary movement. "Rebirth" is planned as an ongoing series of conceptual art and design collections. Our goal is to challenge international art critics, global gallery curators, and avant-garde publications to redefine the rigid boundaries of fine art, intimate human expression, and wearable sculpture.
E D I T I O N I : L I M I N A L I T Y
The inaugural collection of this movement is Edition I: Liminality. Liminality is the threshold—the space in-between. It is a transitional state where one is no longer what they were, but not yet what they will become. It can manifest as an emotion, a physical place, or an artistic process. In this first collection, the concept of the "in-between" heavily dictates both the creation of the canvas and the architecture of the footwear.
